I bought the 1978-88 GM Caliper to early Ford kit part# 7024475 from Speedway and I was wondering if someone might know the part number for the calipers that fit these that I might be able to pick up from a local parts store. I have been told you can get them there I'm just not sure which ones to get. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Try these: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/w...eList&actionSrc=Form&searchTerm=brake+caliper I used a 1985 Chevy Monte Carlo SS as a base vehicle. Any GM metric caliper will do. Speedway will also have them in stock as will most other rod shops.
Thanks for your help! I tried a set for a 78 Camaro and they were too big. Im gonna try these now. Thanks again!
^^^^^ That's the caliper. Metric Monte Carlo, Buick Regal, Cutlass from '78-'88. The last ones I bought were under $20 each at the local parts store. The Camaro are what I've mostly heard referred to as "intermediate" calipers. Those have 7"-ish center-to-center mount bolt holes and the "Metric" calipers are about 5 1/2" if I recall correctly from my days of selling circle track racing parts. Lynn
If I remember right, again from circle track days, someone sells a metric size caliper with a larger piston.
The speedway catalog was a little too specfic with the year make and model. This info is much more useful Sent from my XT1710-02 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
