No way this is your first one. It almost being built like a model car...so effortlessly...You are bad ass sir....
Great fabrication skills, nice feel for the era and style. Looks like it will be wickedly fun to drive. You, sir, have done well....congratulations!
I love threads like this ,as you said ,Ya' dont need all the tools to get the job done' I think guys get put off ,as they think they need all the fancy gear to build a project.
Lots of nice details. I particularly like the rear 4 bar set up. I'd like to see more details of that.
Re "I love threads like this ,as you said ,Ya' dont need all the tools to get the job done' I think guys get put off ,as they think they need all the fancy gear to build a project" If you look at the garage, its not exactly tidy and it aint full of expensive tools. It was my first attempt at forming and swaging sheet steel on that scale. It was my first attemt at lead work too. There aint no TIG welds on it - hell some of the chassis and suspension parts were ARC welded!! Oh the total cost is about 6000 US dollars. Archie
Last name is Paterson. Just got to paint the hood, lights etc and finish the interior then it will out in the crappy wet weather we get here in Scotland :-(
You sir definitely have the tin bender's gene - by the progress pics it looks like you've been doing this all your life. The construction looks well thought out and effortless. I particularly like the crossmembers and how they all have a consistent look - very nice fabrication all around. Steve
At this point it's all been said. Only thing left is to ask that you keep posting until it's done. Simply great!!! Frank
That is awesome! And I have a great idea for my radiator shell now. Bye the way, what radiator are you using?
The radiator is a Walker one that I got a good deal on from Reids Rod Parts in So-Cal. Hi Kent. Hope all is well in sunny Sweden - hope to see you soon. AP
1. You are my hero. 2. I have been planning to build something like this "some day." Please keep posting photos as you go along - this is the greatest how-to I've ever seen!
