    The engine and trans is a 1600cc crossflow from an 1970's English Ford Escort.

    I love threads like this ,as you said ,Ya' dont need all the tools to get the job done'
    I think guys get put off ,as they think they need all the fancy gear to build a project.

    If you look at the garage, its not exactly tidy and it aint full of expensive tools. It was my first attempt at forming and swaging sheet steel on that scale. It was my first attemt at lead work too. There aint no TIG welds on it - hell some of the chassis and suspension parts were ARC welded!! Oh the total cost is about 6000 US dollars.

    Last name is Paterson. Just got to paint the hood, lights etc and finish the interior then it will out in the crappy wet weather we get here in Scotland :-(

  22. You sir definitely have the tin bender's gene - by the progress pics it looks like you've been doing this all your life. The construction looks well thought out and effortless. I particularly like the crossmembers and how they all have a consistent look - very nice fabrication all around.

    The radiator is a Walker one that I got a good deal on from Reids Rod Parts in So-Cal.
