Can the speedometer drive gear on a Muncie 4 speed be moved forward to the correct position without removing the tranny? Steel gear.
I guess you mean the speedo drive gear on the main shaft, then yes I think you really could do that. Drain the lube and remove the tail shaft housing, place the gear where you want it and replace the t/s gasket.
