The Isotta-Fraschini-Fiat Special came to life just recently after a twenty year construction. It's chassis was based on the Fiat drawing from 1905. Read all about it and see many more Stefan Marjoram photos showing its construction with a 1014 c.i. or 16.5 litre Isotta-Fraschini aero engine.

Love that trailing chain drive, going down the road the whole thing probably sounds like an old machine shop. The 'loose' side of the chain would be on top in that configuration, which has to give one pause...

Any more detail on the rear suspension that accompanies it?

Edit: found the FIAT drawings on your site. Good work.

The reference to the radius arms producing odd jacking effects is reminiscent of Maurice Olley's writings regarding Dubonnet front suspensions used 'backward' in a leading-arm configuration (something GM apparently did at Opel/Vauxhall in the '30s) under braking.

    Shazzammm!!!
That is the longest hood I've ever seen plus it's filled to the brim with engine. The driver has to sit BEHIND the rear axle on a cantilevered seat, and it's chain driven.
    Wow!!!
