Ok, first off, I SWEAR I'll have pics of my '65 up soon... Maybe even tomorrow... Now, I've been searching for pictures of Jimmie Vaughn's '63 Riviera... He has some pictures on his website, from magazine articles it's been in, but I'm looking for good pics of the interior, and more importantly the trunk... If anybody has some, I'd be eternally grateful... Please post them here, or if they are too big, please email them to me as well... Thanks again..!!! (and I promise I won't ask for any more Rivi pics until mine are up..!!) Later...Snacks...
Dude...you want some of this..?? I thought not... Come on, anybody have pics of this car..?? Pretty please..??
So, if you go to Jimmy's web site - choose the "E-Zine" - then choose "Classic Cars" - then select "Hot Rod Summer" you get a few snapshots of the car.
Roundup '02: He brought the Chebby Roundup '03: He brought the Caddy Roundup '04: Rivi? Come on down and check it out in person.
modernbeat- I saw the few pics he had on there... I'm really interested in seeing pics of the interior better, and more importantly, pictures of the trunk... I remember him showing where they built a sub box under the package tray, and the port went through the factory grill between the rear seats... I know I've seen those pics before, I just can't find them..!! He didn't include the trunk pic(s) on the site... Does anybody have the Dec. 1992 Rod & Custom they can scan for me..??
Snacky...I'm not sure, but I coulda sworn Custom Rodder did a feature a few years back? I remember it because I was using it for reference...I turned the place upside down, but I can't find it?
Nevermind dude....I was flashin' back to the 61 Caddy Coupe issue...still wanna find it now! Got the Sept 99 issue with Marcos Garcia's 63,if ya need pics?
That would be awesome Johnny..!! Thanks..!! Jimmie Vaughn's '63 Rivi..?? Anybody..?? bttt for the weekend crowd...
Snacky, you ignorant slut! Anybody knows Jimmy's Riv is a 62. I know because when I was at GoodGuys in Desmoines one year [92 I think] he had his Rivera there. The cut-off date was 1962 cars and earlier. He had his car on the grounds...I spoke to him, or rather, he spoke to me...wanted to know where I got my old-timey Goodyear Double Eagles on my 49 ford coupe.... Later, at Porkey's, I wandered over and looked at his entry sticker in the windshield.........yup! Said "1962 Buick Rivera" right there in black and white....
Awww, c'mon Rocky.....you know Goodguys will let anyone in that can afford the $85 entry fee!!!! Oh hell, I didn't mean to get all that started again....! Brian
Rad.... Rocky called me a slut... (p.s.- I think he lied about the car's year at that show... people do it all of the time at Paso Robles...Hahaha..!!)
NSRA used to cut them off at 1948 and older. Still got a 48 title in the glove box of my 51 F-1. Assholes......OLDBEET
