A friend of mine is trying to finish up a car for his friend. (It's a long story). 8BA Flathead with new Edelbrock heads. Threads on the spark plugs need to be about an inch long.
Anyone know what plugs to use, at least as a starting point?
    Thanks

Stockers are Champion H-10. Email Edelbrock tech and ask for their recommended plug. I know the stock plugs sit a way up in the threaded hole in stock heads.
There's got to be lots of guys here running Edelbrocks, anyone?

I use Champion H-10s. I've never considered any issues with it not being long enough.

I thought of the Champion H-10s, but when he told me the heads had about a 1 inch deep threaded hole for the spark plug I thought, Huh???
I'm haven't seen these new heads myself. I have older Offenhausers and Eddie Meyers around here and they have a short hole for the plugs.
I wouldn't think you would want the plug shrouded by the plug hole.
    Any thoughts?

NGK B5-ES: Same heat range as Junkion H-10's, but with the extended reach that you need. Flatheads bring out the best in people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
