    Hello,

    how do you call this:

I somewhere read the term "souvenir style", but if you google that the results make no sense. I have two period pics of kids in driving these cars with slogans all over (one of them is that '29 above), and I know of the Gladhand T Tudor with a stuffed Flathead V8 that was painted to reesemle this.

Also, anyone out there with more pics of cars painted like that?

  2. I'm thinking this is where the term, "Jalopy", may have started.

Yea, the T is the second pic I know. I also know the toy, so I'm guessing there is a term for these things.

  5. Kind of reminds me of the stuff American soldiers painted on their tanks, jeeps, etc. during WWII. Hot Rodders off to war. The 1940 tag adds credence.

I think Mickey Rooney drove a car like, with slogans on it, that in one of the Andy Hardy movies.

Here is the Gladhand T, this is a recent build. I dig it so much, that it makes me want to go and buy a T just for the sake of painting shit on.
