"We'll sell you the whole seat but you'll only need the edge".
Hey, that could be a new SEGA radio advertisement.
    I can't wait!

I know and I'm sorry, about the time I posted that my key employ turned in his notice. left me in a bad bind. So I had to stop on my personal projects and finish customer cars. Hope to be back on it before too long. Don't give up on me.

After attending the London Ky race I would like to nominate Adam (Rod Slinger) Lowhorn to drive the wheelie truck. He would be a natural fit!!!

Sorry it’s taking so long but life keeps getting in the way. I’m back on it but it’s going slow. Big thanks to Hamb member Tony Turner (dog_patch ) for getting some primer on the cab so we can get it mounted. IMG_3752.jpeg

Cab is painted and ready to set on the chassis. Special thanks to Tony Turner ( dog_patch) for the paint work. While we’re installing the body and putting the truck together Tony will be painting all the other body parts IMG_3754.jpeg IMG_3753.jpeg

That's going to be awesome to watch. Will it be ready by Ringgold?

I saw another build picture posted on social media. There was a '62 Falcon in the background that looked a lot like the Hound Dog BBF gasser. Is that yours now?

IMG_0666.jpeg IMG_0665.jpeg Moved the truck to the final assembly side of the shop. Set the engine and transmission in place.

It won’t be ready until about mid season.

Yea I have ended up with the old falcon. I’m going to try and have it ready for ring gold. If not I’m going to run the Anglia.

I do not know what the old show wheel standers did; but do you plan any oil system modifications to keep the engine alive for 1/4 mile pass? Seems like you might want a dry sump system with back of the pan pickup. I guess the automatic would be ok?

The pump will be in the back so shouldn’t be any problem. I’m more worried about the carburetors, most of the old ones were fuel injected,

While install the stock front axle I learn something very interesting about these Old Trucks. The shackle bushings were screws. I took it all apart and they were in perfect shape. IMG_0668.jpeg

I have a Collection of injectors and might put one on it later if all works out well. At first I want to keep it as simple as possible LOL. IMG_0795.jpeg

Here’s a some pics of them screwed on to kinda show how they work. They have grease fittings one end. IMG_0671.jpeg IMG_0673.jpeg IMG_0672.jpeg

The shackle bolts or what ever they’re called have a taper on each end. The shackle also has a taper so they slide on then a bolt goes through the middle to hold them in place. The taper locks them so they will work when the spring works. IMG_0678.jpeg IMG_0679.jpeg IMG_0681.jpeg IMG_0812.jpeg
