I consider myself lucky to know Sean "Fat Lucky" Johnstun. This guy can do things with a sewing machine that I could never dream of. He's an incredible artist and as humble as they come. The month or two before the Lonestar Roundup is always crazy for him. He's been thrashing away like many others...but he's always thrashing on other peoples vehicles. This year, one of his projects was my daily driver. Lucky me. What a great night at the Speed Shop!!! Thanks Sean!!!

Check out these pics....I know everyone always says this, but the pictures REALLY don't do it justice. It's a metallic copper, but looks more orange in the pics. It'll just be the seat by the Roundup, but wait till you see it in person. We'll have more pics of it in the truck on our website www.southaustinspeedshop.com Here are some pics of the seat. Check out that awesome stitched pinstripe design. Then Fat Lucky with his new apprentice "Mondo" Dave.... Then Fat Lucky and me...

I'm blown away by how talented this guy AND he lives in my town-xtra kick ass! Sometimes I wish my interior didn't look so pretty just so I'd have an excuse for a new one:D

  13. I'm very curious on how much a seat job like that would cost to an average schmoo like me? Any idea?

That is really beautiful work. It's the little technical things that make the difference, notice how all the pleats line up, and the flat panels are wrinkle free. Lots of hours in that seat! What an artist!

Just got home from the shop today, The seat is going in the truck right now. The interior of my truck is a metallic copper, looks AWESOME with the seat in it. Can't wait to show you guys at the Roundup. I'll leave it at the shop when it's not at the show for all to see. Sean thinks of all the details. When you look at the front of the truck, through the windshield, you see the skull shifter framed by the pinstripe design. And the pleats all around the bottom front and around the top of the seat....the extra mile that most would not go....

I LOVE the truck, the interior is the first of several changes to come. I'll keep progress posted as it happens. I had to have a Mercury pickup and that's what I got...I'm happy. You'll have to tell Keith to check this post, he'd love to see the seat I'm sure. You coming to the Roundup?
    John Joyo...

ps. Brush, you wouldn't happen to be the one who striped the truck are you?

Hey CurbSpeed and Fatstang...for backlog and pricing info, send a PM to DamnitDave here on the hamb, or you can email him at the shop ([email protected]). He is the shop manager and can give you this info. Sean has been busting ass to get things done before the roundup, after the roundup, the wait shouldn't be too bad. Whatever it is...it's worth it. My seat is now the coolest part of my truck :D
