Is there a source out there for a cut to length torque tube driveshaft?

I remember reading about one a few years ago, maybe Dick Spadaro(?) or someone else, or I am on crack.

I took about 18 inches out of a 1940 torque tube. I don't think it will work to shorten the 1940 driveshaft. I have a mild flathead, 39 trans and 40 rear end.

    Thanks

Even if it was Dick, he died and his business closed.

Can I ask why you don't shorten the one you have? I have done it several times and always had success. Even the one in my dragster (shortened to about 15" total length) held up behind a blown nitro motor back in the 60's. At least I assume the one I have is the original.

Anyway, a machine shop should be able to help if you don't have a lathe.
