    Brassworks.

Good stuff, not too expensive, they'll make pretty much anything you want, and they are Alliance Supporters.

I bought a brassworks. I figured it would be worth it as everyone said good things about their radiators. Well the dummy filler was off by so far i had to cut it off to get the grill shell on. You could see it was a 1/4 inch off to the side. Then the side tabs broke off. I spot welded them back on. Then the top support rod bracket came off. That might have been my fault as the rods had a little tension from the bracket not being parallel with the firewall where the rods tighten down. I didnt even try to send it back to them as i was able to remedy all the problems without paying for shipping. But i wont buy another one. Im gunna give us radiator a try next time.

I went with a Walker after the original finally gave up... after my fan tried to go through it. Had it the next day from speedway

  6. i think its cheaper to get a walker through macs ford then directly through walker. youll have to look into it,..

The Walker radiator was in my 46 Ford convertible 12 years and going strong when I sold the car. I've learned a long time ago that when it comes to cooling, brakes and steering to always buy the best.

when i did mine on the 32 i needed a shorter than stock one, needed the bottom tank to be below the mounting tabs, not flat across like so many of them are, etc,etc...bought a really nice aluminum one of the bay, added an extra top tube as i'm running a flathead, bent up a new bottom tank on my box break and had it all stitched up by a good friend and exceptional welder and ended up with exactly what i wanted and needed for less than top tier guys wanted for one , all my hoses line up without straining anything, now back to our normal programming

Did you use an original or repro grill shell?

I don't know if you are going for originality but Superior Radiator here in Mt Clemens, Mich makes all my radiators. They are aluminum, very nicely built and always fit. I know a certain lady on here that has a big old convertible olds has one and she has put a ton of miles on it with no problems. They charge me 300.00 out the door. I just paint them black and they look fine.

  12. I have used them all,but for my money Walker is my pick.

I have one that is going in 18 years old without any problems. HRP

I've sold both Walker and Brassworks and I still push Walker. Fit is excellent and they last.

Super nice original. You could just look at the thing and see that someone soldered it on crooked.

I'd stick with Walker. Looks OEM & fit perfectly. They do variations too that work with whatever engine/shell combo you're running. They have a web site catalog. Wouldn't buy anything else really.

It's a known fact that some of the repro shells have the filler hole poorly placed off centre , remedy is to cut it out and shift it over . I can't specify a brand.

The black primered stamped steel one that everybody sells.

You will only notice it when you use an original radiator with the repro shell
Aftermarket radiators have the fill tube with cap in a different position
