Amazing what you can find on the internet....If you`re hankerin`for the sound of a jet car, or any other car that ran at Sanford, Maine in 1962, this may be of interest... http://blogfiles.wfmu.org/PY/Sounds_Of_Sanford-Side1.mp3 If you can get through the whole of side 1, http://blogfiles.wfmu.org/PY/sounds_of_sanford_side2.mp3 which I think has a better start...
Hey, had to get into the sounds of Sanford. I have the album and a bunch of others. I travelled up to Sanford and found the old site in Maine. It's now an airport which exists today. It is great to listen how those cars ran. Ignition problems seem to be rampant. Anyway good job! I hope others will enjoy. I like the line, 15 seconds "which is pretty good for a Volvo" I used to run an old 164. Ran a nasty set of glass packs on it.
Ah yes Sanford Dragway! Raced there in 67... Hell even one my class once. Someplace I have about 250Ft of 8mm movies from Sanford, late 1950 & early 1960. Gonna hunt um up someday & put um on a CD Pontiac Slim (in the maroon Pontiac)
