Sorry I didn't realize or know there was a certain protocol to start off with. Hope I didn't get an F already Thanks for setting me on the correct path!! I'll try to do better
Thank you for the vote of confidence! I have been pulling wrenches my whole life, quite a few years on farms here in Wisconsin. Then I ran my own repair shop and full service gas station for 22 years. Yes that's right full service!! I didn't want the pressure anymore and regulations are just getting to be too much so I went back to work for my old employer who used to farm and now collects old iron. I am restoring his cars and trucks for him in a shop on the farm, which we are still in the process of setting up for the new operation. I'm always looking for new places to obtain knowledge on this old stuff and this looks like a great site for that.
Welcome aboard and congrats on falling into the kind of job most of us would like to have! Happy Holidays! ! ! ! ! ! !
Wait a minuet,,,,, You mean your getting paid for working on this Old Iron? What am I doing wrong? Welcome and your right, this is s grate place to "Obtain Knowledge" though be it just a bit distorted sometimes. Enjoy. The Wizzard
swannee, I made the mistake of posting before intro also. Pretty sure most of the eager and motivated newbs do. Cheers from Brew City!
Thanks everyone for the great welcome! Hope all had a good Thanksgiving, I know I ate way too much. Yes I do have a great job, bad thing is I could have been doing this 20 years ago but was young and thought running my own shop was the way to go. Older and a bit smarter now! (just a bit). Tacos29tudor from Eau Claire, the shop is located in Almond just south of Stevens Point.
Yes Stevie Nash that is the Willys I asked about. I can't seem to find any pics of the truck online anywhere. I just wonder what we have here. That is one of the projects for the winter, I want to try to get it running now. I believe it ran when parked as it was last licensed in '63 but had a battery in it dated 1980, so I have hope!
