I don't know if anyone would be interested in this, but I saw a pretty nifty DIY spot welder that in material costs rank it just above free and just below a case of beer.

Oh boy, now I'll have to find an old microwave so it can sit under my bench until I get around to making a welder! Pretty cool.

 

Wow, I'm ALL FOR low cost home-built stuff, but, I don't think the juice was worth the squeeze on that one.
