  1. It’s 44 degrees and over cast and I need salt for the water softener. B9386BA6-3BBD-4865-BF05-A1A2CCA61028.jpeg 214EC3CE-73D2-4E33-97C4-23367DC59FE6.jpeg

That's the exact brand of salt I use. I think it works pretty good with out rusty water.

  5. No pictures, but I went out to dinner last night with some of my car buddies. Since we live miles apart, it was about a hour drive for me.

  6. Well, that won't rust that body I doubt! Don't blame you for driving that one around for sure.

Two kinds of car folks, those who figure out reasons to drive their "enthusiast" cars any time they can and those that come up with a multitude of excuses as to why they couldn't drive their cars because it _________.
When Ron and Sharon Moore had their 29 A roadster they would put on their snowmobile suits and helmets and go off down the road on a number of occasions no matter how cold it was. We were colder in the 48 with the heater going full blast.

I saw a Porsche Targa Carrera 4 GTS on the way to work this morning covered in road salt and thought WTF, but then more power to those that aren't afraid to enjoy their rides despite the weather. Congrats!

  10. I enjoyed the salt run so much I took a much longer trip to pick up my wheels at the blasters, had lunch and acquired some cold adult beverage as well.

Nothing like taking one car to pick up parts for another.

  15. ...And the salt load will provide a little added traction if you should be caught in a sudden snow storm on your way home- or you could use it to melt ice too!

Did you really need four bags of salt for the water softener or did you want the 160 pounds of salt for added traction ?

  20. Better weather than Buffalo,NY, here we just go out and lick the roads if we want salt, nice Cragar slots, what blasting media did they use ?

Just finished shoveling 3” of snow off the driveway. When spring comes, that will be reason enough to go for a drive...

  22. Everywhere has better weather than Buffalo NY!:D They used fresh glass bead. It left a real slight texture that should sand out real nice before polishing

The only excuse I have is my car is in the garage with 3/4 of the interior out of it. I'm installing the "new" rear window, and fixing the rear quarter window pinch weld area.
Come spring, I'll be driving it, I'm retired. "Yep its another day" is the only excuse I need to go for a ride. Gene

I drove my '40 over 80 miles today, temps in the 40s, the reason being I had to get to work and then come back home. Then went to hang out with some hot rod buddies this evening.
