the driver is broke down (96 Trooper) so I had to take the Olds to school. The wipers worked ( I even had to throttle them back a bit ) the heater was nice and warm, and another person asked me what year it was,( they thought it was a Chevy). Hey, It was a good day.
you can drive that car every day, they did back then ya know! yes, vacuum wipers are less than ideal.......
Very cool you need to do it more often....I used to drive as a Courier 15 years ago and every now and then I drove my 40 chrysler for work. I would do over 200 miles in a day and never had a problem. Some of the people I was delivering to thought I was nuts But I could drive that car all day and it wouldnt get old. I would do it when I was getting bored with work it always made the day go by fast and fun.
Nothing wrong with vacuum wipers I drive my '56 all the time with them. Thats how they got around back then. Try using some rain-X as well that works!
Ah, good ol vacuum wipers... Remember when passing someone in the rain you had to let off the gas momentarily to get a "wipe or two" on the windshield to see where you were going?? Those were the days.....
