Yea, there is no way I could have passed it up for that price either Larry! Congrats on the deal of the week! Going to look at something similar today (not quite as old but it only has 3 windows and the guy keeps calling me trying to sell it to me... )

 

Now all ya gotta do is make a car seat for your cat. Certainly in the back seat.

That was a great bargain, and other than the new tires like you already mentioned, I don't think I'd do a thing to it. It's just right the way it is.

 

Spent $400 on new tires yesterday...same basic tires that were on it...drives much better. Now just need to get the front end aligned, adjust the brakes, and the clutch pedal for better travel.

 

Larry-- better take your (? blank) I would hate to see blood all over the inside of that fitty 5.
I've yet to put a cat in a car without a little blood spilled--MINE.

LOL someone said that fuzzy dice meant you was goin steady with someone. After our first real date ( bringing cheese burgers to my pit with her dad didn't really count as a date) Mrs beaner went in the girl's bathroom at school and with a red lipstick wrote across the mirror in big letters, "Stay away from the beaner he's mine." I guess one of the Mexican chicks had told her to mark her territory.

Honestly, I think Tri-fives are some of the better looking cars for 4doors out there. Just behind 60's Lincolns.

Love that 55 Chevy. There are some years and models of 4-doors that look nice and most tri-five Chevys are among them.

That's a nice old fiver' for sure. Keep it just the way it is. They're a great "lunch car", everybody piles in and you cruise to the burger joint.

I once had a black and white '57 Bel Air hardtop mordor I bought to take me down to Ft. Sill, OK for artillery training in 1972 but the old girl blew up between Sioux City and Omaha. My brother towed me all the way back to Sioux Falls, SD on a chain. He got to keep the car, I got stuck in Ft. Sill without wheels and then it was overseas for a couple of years.
