Hey Everybody, I took the old Pontiac for its last ride of the year, as my transporting schedule will keep me away until Nov 1st I got to thinking just how I lucked out with this one. I have had it for 5 seasons now & only bought it back then because all of my other cars were apart or waiting to be taken apart & I enjoy going to the cruises to see my car friends. It was on Ebay cheap & I was coming back from the west coast, dropped off a couple of hundred miles from where it was (Southern Missouri). The gentleman told me on the phone the carb. had problems & he was hesitant to sell it till after he fixed that (had actually taken down the Ebay ad) I convinced him to sell it to me like it was. when I got there he had already fixed the carb! Really nice car guy! I put shocks, stab links & a set of Coker American Classics on it & never looked back. Every time I take it out it is 100 mile round trip to go to the area where I am originally from. It NEVER gives me any issues, I just tick the key & go! I planned on only having it for a season or 2 but it is hard to get rid of them when they are that reliable! I was lucky to be in town for a friends party so I drove it there. Got to see about 30 or so folks I don't get to see very often. Pictures are the day I bought it with the seller in the pic. Then one of the girls at the party doing a "Marilyn" imitation. Also the young guy I am shaking hands with is very interested in our cars, so hopefully he will get a Hamb friendly & join us soon! Bone stock except for exhaust! 316 V-8 Auto, Man steering man brakes. 79,000 actual miles. I have always wanted to detail the engine compartment, but it is just to easy to get in & drive. The original colors were Salmon & Gray as you can see on the firewall. God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ar-transport-hauling-open-or-enclosed.614419/
Just enjoy the heck out of it. I am always tempted to mess with my stock A coupe but every time I take it out I realize I'm way better off leaving it along............like yours, just a real nice reliable ride!
