Hey, thanx guys. . . We are in the northeast, I'd rather make it when I can. We will see how it comes out. Hopefully I can get some more done this w/end. Happy Thanksgiving!

Ronnie, you've got to remember the correct ratio:
For every linear foot of car body, there must be a MINIMUM of 3 pieces of sheetmetal from as many different sources as possible. ( yes, sometimes even "Tam's") .

Also a large collection of clamps, hammers, dollies, rope, come-a-longs, porta-powers, 2x4's, ETC.)

All kidding aside, I think you're doing a great job!! (I was there today).

Just read your thread. Great job. As others have said, it gives inspiration to those of us with a similar plan & budget.

It is inspirational, but also reminds me of just how poorly I am doing. Every piece of vintage sheet metal is like gold to people around here!
Finding the back half of a 27 Roadster has become a challenge.

I got quite a bit done the last couple days. Pass quarter, brace, and unforseen rust repair at the top 1480822231000.jpg 1480822241640.jpg 1480822255462.jpg 1480822272030.jpg

I welded the b pillar foot and attached the panel above the trunk. I then took some advice from a couple pals-Mike Bowling and Onekoolkat- I put an x brace in. Holy crap! It is stiff as a crank now! 1480822662803.jpg 1480822672933.jpg 1480822711841.jpg

I couldn't wait to post: Northeast Precision Welding in upstate New York cut and re-splined my driveshaft, shortened my torque tube. The craftsmanship is second to none. Looks like a machine welded it! I will fit it when I get home and post pics
