I haven't posted any new pics in a while, but posted a bunch in the beginning and middle of the summer when I was working on the front end restyle...Anyways, I figured I show about where I am now.... These were taken a few weeks ago at my buddy Jay's(merc-o-madness) wedding.....Hopefully it will be in paint again by the spring, we'll see.....
Just as a comparison, here's how the car looked in 1988 right before I sold it (red oxide primer), and how it looked in 2004 right after I bought it back..(it needed some de-uglification) Yes, I owned this car from 1984-1988, it was my first car.. I got it when I was 14 and drove it to high school for a bit...I found it again in 2004 and bought it back...needless to say , I'll never let it get away again...
CHOPMERC: Most excellent looking. You're a lucky sumbitch to find your 1st car and get it back. The only thing I have from high school is my yearbook and my girl.
Your car catches the essence of the true 50's, early 60's Custom Car. Nicely done Sir.....Great choices....awesome execution. Thanks for the update...Centurion9
that car is rad. very cool you were able to buy it back too. bet you won't make the mistake of letting it get away again.
Fantastic example of how a custom should be designed first, before the torch is lit. The car looks like it came out of a top custom shop in the late 1950s, and that's the nicest copliment I can give a car. Fantastic!
i still got my girl, but my 1st car is in a field 2 blks from my house, dud wont sell it hes gonna .............. wait for it................"redo it someday"
Thanks for all the compliments guys...I especially like your comment, toledobill, exactly what I'm going for...
Well you pulled it off in grand style then! What Toledobill said was my first thought as well.. VERY nice car!
My thoughts EXACTLY!....as good or better than anything the Barris klan could've cooked up. VERY VERY nice custom. What color (s) will it wind up on it?
Like I told you last time I saw you, simply amazing! What's even better though, is you in that suit. DAMN! You clean up well sweet cheeks!
This car looks like it could have been driven by a top heroin dealer in Newark in the late 50s and thats the nicest compliment I could give a car!
Thanks for the update. I love how the Edsel grille(s) turned out! Your Shoebox is truly looking great from all sides.
Aww Billy, I bet you say that to all the boys... Haha....these pics were actually taken in Jersey City...Close though.. Oh, and I gotta add some pics, but I made that extension piece for the bottom of the grille pan to eliminate that space that could be seen under the grille...it looks much better....
