Thanks for sharing, I forgot my camera. Fun day!
Weather stayed nice, we had a blast. Jezebelle WOW, how badass was that to see in person! Thanks for the good time fella's
was a great day - thanks guys for putting it together again.....
and have to met up with the owner of my old Vicky....she's come along way and looks better everytime I see 'er...
great pics, i think that '40 coupe and its owner deserve a thread on their history.
I didn't even recognize the Vicky as the one for sale on CL several years ago...Chevy motor and lots of questionable workmanship at the time. I called and talked with you, stillrunners, about buying it but decided against it. Glad to see that it's got a good new owner who has really turned it around.
I was talking to Ken Smith when it pulled up by Ken's banger-powered roadster pickup (which has some history as well). He did the lettering on the car and gave me a little run-down on the car. He said it had been sitting, untouched, in a warehouse since 1961. Awesome day at Yello Belly!
that 40 is amazing..... love that hemi stuffed under that hood.... pretty sweet
Looks like a neat old drag strip. Your sitting right on top of the track.
Ouch, if that is your wife, she is one nice looking lady. Congrats.
Hahahaha! If that was Bill's wife you would never see him again.
There's a truck in this picture.........oh wait I see it.
wow... that 40 is too cool. looks like a great event
Is that track as cool in person as it is in pictures? Whats the deal with the covered pit area?
I believe it was once a farmers market way back when. It's very cool but it's treacherous for the quicker cars. You get a good one then you get a hairy one.
what times did the dual flathead comp car run, anybody remember?
Very good pix.
what truck? theres a truck in that pic?
Your truck was killer!....I must have drooled over it for an hour lol
I believe that the very clean 3 window on first page here belongs to Charlie Duran,,,if so Its the old drag car of Huddleston&Fake from the late 50s,,ran at Caddo Mills..
and Danny I wish you would post the name of the guy with the 40 Coupe,,He was probably racing at Caddo also...
come on guys, there are two trucks in that picture....
What a heart breaker!
