Thought some of you may enjoy some pics. I have many more, but running short on time currently so here is a few. This is a personal collection not a junkyard, and it is private. Would anyone happen to know what the VW beetle looking car is ? At frontal glance it resembles a VW beetle, but is a four door (front suicide doors) and a rear-ended 4cyl with rear louvered 'hood'. Very puzzled at this one!
That top car is a Renault 4CV. Sorry for the big giganto-normous pic! That little coupe needs saving in a BIG way!
What the car is supposed to look like. CV is pronounced chevaux in French and means Horses. Not that anyone cares.
Looks like that model A used to be an old hot rod or 50's drag car at one time. If you look close its got swing pedals, and look where the steering comes out on the fire wall. also the 48 chevy tail lights. Looks like it might have a mild chop, and is it channeled the width of the frame?
I will never understand why people do this kind of thing............ Did he, or does he plan on fixing any of those? I know they are his do what he wants, but it's certainly a shame the shape they are in now.
Well now - that there isa perfect example of global warming! Yep - it is so hot in Ohio that all sorts of cars and trucks are melting daily.
Thats sad! Those cars rusting away and by the time anyone has a chance at this "collection" they will be so far gone they will be good for a few parts only. That A should not be in the woods rusting away.
yeah I noticed that too, kind of strange. Could have been a drag car thrown together back in the day?
The back of the A is probably handmade because someone cut the original off to make a truck out of it before it became a hot rod. Notice the quarter windows look funny, it might have even started life as a 4-door rather than a coupe.
yeah, like you say. I bet it was cut off to make a truck during the dust bowl era or to get more gas or tire stamps during WWII, then someone found it and made the back half back into a coupe again. Man if it could talk.
Hi all, Glad you liked the photos. I will post more soon. I was told all of those cars were driven in there. It's pretty much undiscovered for the most part and there is atleast 100 cars back there, but they are quite rough and disintigrating into the earth. What kind of a price would you set on the body of that Yellow Coupe? I would like to buy it, and I just may...
he must be collecting samples of metal oxidation how fast cars return to their natural state ,when the owner is going to redo them all some day , save the coupe !!
Given it's not a real coupe, offer $500 for the whole works. Cleaned up and painted it would probably bring more than that, but not a lot more.
