Its a mid 20's Republic, very similar to the ford tall T. The cabs are pretty much the same with a few small changes. I'm looking for a few parts and need some info on companies who supply this kind of stuff. There's probably quite a few so I'd like to know who is good and who to stay away from. Any advice is appreciated. Also, anyone else have one of these? I've found some info and some pics on the net but not much. Show some pics if you've got 'em.

It does look a lot like a ford, even the engine.

What are your plans for it? Are you going to restore it?

My plans are to restore it. Its pretty complete and in good shape for its age. I can turn the 4 banger by hand, the drivers door opens and closes like its new. Had to work at the pass. side but it works now too. It has steel spokes with the worst part being where it sat on the ground for ????? years, I've had two people tell they can be restored I just need to find out where. Had some cool old hand tools under the seat too.

The windshield is two pieces. The lower half is stationary, the upper half swings out.

I'd be leaning on those "two people" and have them tell where to find stuff.

Not that I'm an expert, far from it,....but I;ve never heard of a "Republic"

Edit: Did the google thing and got info.

Republic was made from 1913 to 1929. They were the workhorse of their day. By 1918 one out of nine trucks on the road was a republic. In 1928 they merged with American LeFrance. In 1931 they were bought out by Sterling Motor Truck Company which was bought out by White Motor Company in 1951.
