This car was based on the George Barris built movie car for the 1958 movie "High School Confidential" which became a Rockabilly Cult Classic as the movie featured Mamie Van Doren, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hot Rods , and Rock N Roll. Barris made two custom three window chop-top coupes. The movie cars were destroyed after filming. Chevrolet never made a stylemaster three window coupe in 1946-1948. George Barris assisted/consulted in the chopping of the top on this car in 1985 and he signed the glovebox door on the inside as well. This car was a Street Rodder centerfold car in the June, 2013 issue. This car placed 3rd in the "Early Customs" class at the 64th Annual Grand National Roadster Show in 2013, 2nd place went to the legendary builder John D'Agostino that year.
