Here is a very unusual tachometer made by AC. If you'd ever be inclined to call a lump of metal & glass "sexy" & "exotic," this would be it. Although AC gauges were always just as good as any of the competition, they were generally considered underwhelming in their styling...until this one. I've never seen another like it & can only surmise that the AC marketers were making a move in the burgeoning performance parts arena back in the day. And, they certainly pulled it off with this crisp & flashy 5,000 rpm mechanical tachometer. Although the year of production seems to be missing or illegible, it has to be mid to late '60's, as the design details closely resemble the ones Stewart-Warner introduced about that time. And, most importantly, this unit comes with the original cable, about 27" long. The condition is beautiful & maybe N.O.S., given the fact that the engine hour "recorder" dial shows only a bit over one mile. The unit works like butter & has the retaining bracket. Hook it up to your tach drive dizzy, mount the tach & rev it up. The price is plus shipping....let's say $13 to the lower 48. PayPal would be best, but a Postal Money Order would work, as well. The first P.M. committing to buy gets it.
