This car is ready to drive home today, and reasonable offers will be considered before it goes to the evil auction site next week. Asking $11,900/obo & located just outside of Modesto, CA. Please PM or email me:

This example was purchased from the previous (2nd) owner 13 years ago with 82k original miles. One older aging repaint (by previous owner) in the rare, original “Green Velvet Metallic” finish, the car shows very well with bright chrome & normal signs of use & wear for a car of this age. Original medium green leather interior remains completely serviceable as shown. This Continental has a clear California title & current registration & in the seller’s name. Numerous records/receipts for repairs & maintenance will be provided to new owner.

Mechanical (all maintenance, repair, etc. professionally installed):
    • Original MEL 430 c.i. V8 with 2 barrel carburetor. (87,900 miles shown)
      • Starts easily with functional automatic choke
      • Very strong, responsive, smooth, trouble-free operation
      • Full stainless factory style exhaust system with stainless mufflers/resonators.
      • Audible exhaust leak at manifold recently returned from an older repair, but has no effect on drivability. (new manifolds available)
      • Gasket at PCV fitting on valley pan leaks
    • Original 3-speed automatic transmission
      • Operates properly in all ranges
    • Driveline/differential
      • Professionally rebuilt differential (bearings/seals/etc.).
      • Professionally rebuilt/balanced driveshaft.
      • Whitewall (radial) tires are 1-2 years old.
    Interior / Exterior:
    • Single aging older repaint (estimate 30-40 years ago) in original “Green Velvet Metallic”
      • Very elegant & rare color combination
      • Typical wear & general flaws from normal enjoyment
      • Nice original chrome, consistent with condition of car.
      • Trunk lid has corrosion (typical to 1960’s Lincolns & Thunderbirds) but remains solid & serviceable. Repair/replace options are available.
      • Needs trunk hinge torsion rods reinstalled (they are included, as well as a spare driver's side trunk hinge)
      • Car lives in a dry climate. No rot in lower body (pans, rockers, doors, etc.) beyond light surface corrosion pictured
      • Unibody construction remains solid & provides a tight, modern feel
      • Original spare tire mount, jack, related equipment remains in place
    • Original medium green full leather interior.
      • Interior remains unrestored & serviceable, but has wear one would expect from a 56 year old car.
      • Wood veneer door panel & glove box inserts were replaced by previous owner
      • Numerous repaired/replaced window hardware & switchgear to retain functional & reliable operation. Passenger front window rolls down from the remote driver's switch, but only rolls up with the passenger door switch
      • All glass intact, clear, & serviceable
      • Lights, gauges, etc. function properly (clock functions intermittently)
      • Heat/Defrost blow & route air correctly, but air is cool (suspect heater control valve, as heater core has not been bypassed)
      • Vacuum actuated door locks have been non-operational since purchase
      • Power seat does not function (used replacement power mechanism included)
