Weeding out the projects. My dad did this car basically as you see it now back in the late 80s. He moved on to other things, by '94 it was sitting by the Gallatin River in Montana getting patina. In 2007 I drug it to my place thinking my son and I would do something with it. Never happened, needs a new home.

Basically stock original. Steering, wishbone, does have home-engineered dropped spindles. Excellent condition for 80 years old. Trunk floor rust, probably more than you can see obviously, but really clean. All trim, gauges interior parts windows are here and go with it. We took out the column shift stuff because is was going to be floor shift, but linkage still here.

Just a few miles off I71 between Cincinnati and Louisville if you want to come get it or at least look at it. Maybe you're going to the Nats for some reason or just on vacation. I can provide more pics and a phone number if you want to talk about it. There's an 8BA that was going to go in it and also a rebuilt '39 trans. Not really trying to sell separately, but a package could be done. Clean KY title in my name.

Partial trade items I could use for my other projects would be decent steel fenders for a DSCN3264 (640x480).jpg DSCN3247 (640x480).jpg DSCN3246 (640x480).jpg DSCN3237 (640x480).jpg DSCN3260 (640x480).jpg 48-50 F1 pickup, a wide ratio M20 or M21, or a usable 400 sb chev block, not one that needs sleeves. In the unlikely event you have a good upper hatch/lift gate for a 67-72 suburban, you will have a lot of leverage.

Engine that could be part of a package is an 80 over 8BA with a Merc crank. Stainless steel valves, actual vintage Johnson lifters, earlier cam that was some kind of custom grind that my dad had originally installed, so you have to use the crab ignition. Everything included with engine except oil pump. Also have polished center outlet Edelbrock heads.

Trans is '39 toploader. I took it to Mac VanPelt and he inspected it and built me a custom rebuild kit for it. It's rebuilt and ready, 40-41 rear mount and curved '36 stick.

Best way to go with this car in my opinion would be to just put it together, do the brakes and drive it as is. DSCN3233 (640x480).jpg DSCN3235 (640x480).jpg DSCN3266 (640x480) (2).jpg DSCN3242 (640x480).jpg

Last bump before it goes on……<sigh>…….Craigslist and Marketplace, and I have to deal with all that. Rather make a deal with one of you guys. Engine has been sitting for 10 years so it would have to be gone through to some extent. Buy the trans and it could basically be a throw-in. A deal can be made.
