soda blasting

    has anyone ever had there car soda blasted? if so how much did it cost to have done? pro's and con's about this would be helpful. thanks

    around here it costs about $1000 including jambs, etc

    pros: removes all paint, no need to remove glass or rubber if you dont want to, doesnt warp panels, biodegradable, leaves a film so the car wont flash rust, no chemicals to get trapped in crevices and come back later to haunt you

    cons: wont remove rust. a little pricey.
     
  3. Also, you have got to sand all of the exposed metal or you will have trouble getting your paint to stick.
