Early Chrysler Hemi with Cunningham 4 pot intake or early Hilborn Injection, Isky Cam and an otherwise stock looking exterior. Exhaust depends on the car but I like mine subdued. Can't improve on perfection. OR Bone Stock looking Flathead (Navy Blue) with a 2 pot Eddie Meyer intake (or other early intakes). Internals can be hopped up as long as it looks fairly stock. Again, can't fuck with perfection. The exhaust can be sent through mid 30's torque tubes exiting just before the rear tires.
"Old Reliable" combo for 440 Dodge. Inexpensive, reliable ,brutal ,in both torque and HP and can run on pump gas. Virtually 530 to 560 indestructable HP
350 Chevy, Vortec Heads, Edelbrock Performer Intake and Carbs, Truck manifolds, HEI, Pete Jackson Gear Drive
493 RB Chrysler, Max Wedge Indy Heads, Aluminum Cross Ram Intake, twin 650 Eddy Thunder's... My buddies combo in his Dart--I'm very jealous
454. Truck motor. Big cam with 8 1/2 -1 compression. 650-700 cfm 4 barrel up top. Looks like it would pull a house off it's foundation, sounds like Garlits, runs on pump gas......... Mike
Any inline six that's pre-64 and will blow doors off of V8's. V8 wise... gotta love the flattys decked out with multiple carbs and a blower... and Y blocks dressed up are pretty sweet lookin' too.
Ok, obvious for me:regular street driver- 401" Nailhead, decent cam, Telesco roller tipped rockers, single or dual carb and headers. Simple setup that runs like stink and fairly cheap to build. What the next motor will be: bigger Nailhead, fully ported heads, Telesco roller tipped rockers, Isky 550 Roller cam, ported 2x4 intake setup, more compression, full length headers, spaulding flamethrower ignition. Edelbrock finned valve covers, Obrien truckers finned valley cover. don't get me going on the 322" Nailheads...
80 over 350 stroked 400 crank 2x4 intake with 750 holleys, donzig mag voodoo cam gear drive It runs like hell and alot of people say you can't do it but I did
Mostly stock, 6-bolt 289" SBF. Edelbrock Performer intake and 500 cfm carb, mild Crane Powermax cam and kit, roller timing chain set, MSD dizzy and ignition components, '82-'85 Mustang GT finned valve covers and old Ford Motorsport round, finned aluminum air cleaner. I'm done...and it will run forever!
289 with ported 351W heads, old Crane Zip552 cam, 9.5 C/R, tunnel ram with 2 600 DPs. Sounded like Modified Eliminator, shifted at 8500 RPM, ran on pump gas. Fun!
....with straight linkage, straight pipes. and a 108 degree lobed Schneider cam. -Lee Atomic Radio www.atomicpinup.com
