    Dyno Don's O/S (forerunner to A/FX) '61 Impala hardtop with the dual-quad 409.

Next up would be Mrs. B's grocery getter (421 Tempest wagon) or the Catalina-axled Tempests from the pre-GTO era. I'd love to build one of those for the street.

I was at a Southern Style Match Race in Hardinsburg, Ky. in the late '60's (1/8 mile). Hubert Platt's Georgia Shaker was racing Mr. 5 and 50. I was about 3 sheets and a buddy and I were sitting on the ground right beside the starting line. When they did their 3 burnouts (on resin) my buddy and I could feel the header blast from the cars. Some track people came up and told us we couldn't sit there as it was too dangerous??? Oh, to be young and foolish again. Great times!

I would have to say Double "A" Dale's "CANUCK" chevy II manly because it had my Dad's blown In. small block in it. One of the first AFX cars to run blown alky as opposed to injected nitro
