Started with a 56 chevy stepside, was hoping for my avatar, maybe I'll get it done by midnight...:p

  2. Started the decade with the cowl and doors to my ride laying behind my old car lot that I used to own. Ending the decade with it being the main part of my ride that we we put many miles on a year!

Wow, I will have had my 32 for a decade now...man time flies fast.

My "other" 32 will be half a decade.

My Merc two decades plus four years. AROUND HALF MY FREAKING LIFE.

    Yikes.

I started the decade with a 1988 Ford Tempo, although I never really drove it. It was a beauty though, owned by a caring old lady who drove only to work and had a garage both at home and at her office. I never thought I could appreciate an 80's car, but it was really like stepping back in time, when getting in this car, albeit a not so interesting point in time. I sold the car to a woman my dad worked with since I never took much interest in it and was more focused on getting what I considered my first car. I regret doing so as it really was a stellar car and deserved a better owner; her daughter wrecked it the same week that they bought it.

My heart had always been with Ford Thunderbirds, both new and old, since I was a young boy. I had it set in my mind for one to be my first car and had found a 1996 model in great condition with the Ford modular V8.

I loved that car and still miss it at times. It really was a great car and suited me perfectly as far as new vehicles go. I hope to get a 1964 Ford Thunderbird (Powered by a 390) in either coupe (non-landau) or preferably convertible fashion. the 64' is my absolute favorite model year and captured the 'beauty' of the jet era perfectly. It may be awhile before I can obtain it though as I promised the wife a special car first (Classic Mini), as well as I'd like a 30's Ford pickup, and of course those nagging life obstacles and responsibilities are mixed in there somewhere. :p

Right now the decade is rounding off with three hits of off topic metal. My Audi (Daily Driver), my Triumph (Alt. Daily *FUN* Driver) and my VW Scirocco (The rusty project from hell). I don't have any images of the Scirocco at the moment, not sure what happened to the ones I had hosted online... but I have many of the 'dailies'.

In 2000 I had turned 16 and bought my first car, an 83 AMC Eagle. It had the crap knocked out of it from various off-road adventures and wound up getting parted out. Now I am driving an 83 Ford F-250 diesel with a 53 Willys and a 50 Ford F-6 as projects.

Very nice Jason, I love the color combo! My brother (Another Jason) has a 1963 C10. Fond memories of going to Old Town in the thing.

Had the '88 Cutlass GT in 2000 (wedding present), sold it and bought the Chevelle in '01 (which I still have).
The '46 Willys being the latest acquisition.

The later in the decade, the older the cars have become...

I've had the 33 just shy of four decades... looking about the same for two... I've had the 27 for two decades but spent most of the time trying to figure out what to do with it... I decided to preserve the body and build around it... maybe this year I can have my own grudge match - 57 Vette vs 57 Thunderbird power...

I started the decade with a 57 Chevy 1/2 ton rod and a 58 Pontiac Chiefton mild custom, sold the 57 and bought a 70 GTO convertible, traded the 58 for a 51 Chevy pickup with a big block done as a mild 60`s custom. Traded the goat for a 04 Heritage and cash to help get the girls through college. I still got my 56 Chev dumper and a 71 Moto Guzzi LAPD model though.

  17. So what did you begin and end the year/decade driving?

I don't know, ask me at the end of the decade - December 31, 2010.

    Don't be silly. A decade means 10 years. 1995-2004 is a decade. 2000-2009 is a decade. And 2001-2010 is a decade.

The decade ends 11:59:59.9 PM, December 31, 2009. Then we start the decade of the 2010's.

  20. THIS IS the END of the decade 00-09.
    Started in ot yota p/u.
    Ends with ot ford p/u.
But I've added my 60 Falcon Wagon
and my 50 Plymouth deluxe to the list.
Hopefully I can add WAY more in this decade:D

    Wasn't driving in 2000... :p:D
    You guys are all wrong.
2000 isn't a year, there is no Zero year.
So, 2001 - 2011 is the end of this decade.
2000 was the last year of the 20th Century.

  27. HUH??? The year 1 A.D. is the first year of the First Century. The end of the year 100 A.D. marks the end of the First Century. The year 2000 is the LAST year of the 20th Century. 2001 was the FIRST year of the 21st Century. The end of 2010 marks the end of the last year of this decade.

Jeez, how friggin' hard is this to grasp, folks???

  28. WRONG!
A decade is any ten-year period, but the end of THIS decade - the first decade of the 21st Century, is December 31st, 2010. Period. Dot. No matter how you may wish otherwise. Count your fingers or toes. Do you start with "zero" and count? NO! You start with "one", as in "2001" and go to "ten", as in "2010"...guess what? Ten years, the end of the decade!

Damn, is it a wonder we are in such a mess when people can not COUNT?
