    that's a 52... 51 didn't have the teeth... unless it's a late year model that started with the teeth??

    That's Shortdogs ride out of E.L.A. Califas. built by the Draggin Shop in Santa Fe Springs. He's a HAMBer.

    i though 52 was first year for hard top? and thats a 52 grill!

    field fresh eh:D ............looks a good score tho,congratulations........what shape are the floors/trunk etc in after all that sitting around? And that trim comin' up from the rear lights over the 1/4's,was that a factory option or something?rare? havn't seen too many like that (sorry if thats' a dumb statement,still learning here lol;))

    Here's a '51 I found out in the desert near Pyramid Lake, Nevada and it wasn't worth digging out, BUT! I did get that front bumper, tried for the rear bumper but was was to deep in the sand.
    By the way Chevy came out with the Bel Air 2 door hard top in 1950.

    Here are some pics of my fiance's '51. She designed it, and did most of all the engine and body work herself... and took it from a rough bondo bucket to this in 9 months. GaryC laid the paint. Not all the trim is on it iin these pics and she's in the process of redoing some of the interior right now. She changed the grille, bumper, and exhaust, too

    Come to think of it I know where there is a Pontiac version of this body style setting outside waiting to be saved. It's in NE Indiana if anyone is interested in taking a look.
