wonder how much it will cost me in the end?? 1956 chrysler industrial 354. its all apart but has everything. all i can see missing is the dampner and accompanying pully for it. also has the exhaust manifolds and the pto and bell-housing it used to use. even has the natural gas 2 barrel carb. the friend who gave it to me can't remember where it came from.
i thought i could either build it up and put in my 51 hardtop or maybe find a 50's truck and put it in there with a mild build.maybe run it on propane or natural gas. either way it'll cost me some coin..but i am happy..:D

and the water pump. its frozen. don't know if its rebuildable or not.

FREE IS REALLY GOOD. This is what a 354 can look like with a little work.

Put hemi tech index in search & start reading. "73RR" here can help with the W/P. Check www.hothemiheads.com for apx prices, 73RR is QEC, check him on prices also.

Rebuild kit from Hot heads $1475. Plus a valve job.
Water pump ...junk. Get a chevy conversion for a pump.

Rebuild water pump $300 to $400!!! Been there, done that sorry I did.

cylinders don't even feel like they have a ridge. probably could just hone them and reuse the pistons. but then again, i need a little more compression...

Hmmm...a chinese sbc pump or a properly rebuilt pump that fits and does not require a pile of 'other' parts that have to be bought....

And apparently I am not charging near enough for a rebuild...:D

BTW, I have a spare impeller for that model.
