It was neat to see on the news snow men in L.A. and no snow on my lawn. I know tomorrow can be totally different.. But for now ha ha had to get that out.

It snowed in various cities around Phoenix last week.
There's lots of snow in the mountains in Los Angeles County.

I live about 50 miles north of downtown Los Angeles in the "high" desert (2,400' above sea level). I got about 4 inches of snow at my house. Took the time to take a couple pictures of my coupe and my old sedan I'm working on for the new owner. Kind of fun. I personally miss the snow, having lived in Utah, South Dakota, Oregon, and Colorado for several years.

  7. when I was stationed at Norton AFB we took a pick up to Big Bear and filled it with snow then came back to the base for a big snow ball war! Good times. (till a window in the dorm was blasted)

Really cold in Hollywood, 40s! No snow --again.

It's almost too cold to drive roadsters.

I like to tell people that one of the worst snowstorms I've ever driven through was in L.A. County (and I'm originally from MA). I was driving up Hwy 14 to Edwards AFB and had to pull over in the mountains because the snow was so bad.

I remember snow on the beach in HB when I was in high school on the surf team. The coach made us surf anyway.

A true prune picker has never seen snow.......

  15. Snow isn't the issue here (Toronto Canada) it's the salt they put on the roads that kills the cars.

BTW nice coupe and nice to see an A shell on the front of an A :).

"High School surf team" ... I can't say we have that up here :D.

I swear that the weather is switching around this year. Last week was the first significant snow that Colorado has had this winter, but yet California is getting flooded and now snow???

Colder than heck here, must be down to 30 degrees in the morning. How do people do it back where it really is cold. But don't come here it is too crowded.

  24. Snowed a little today then rained ...typical! Here on the west coast if you don't like the weather just wait 10 minutes . I feel for you guys out east that looks nasty . Stay warm and take care , Rob.

There was a story on the local news last night talking about having to cancel school because of the snow. The reporter was standing in front of a park with 4 kids having a snowball fight with the .25 inches of snow on the ground. I was amazed that that was enough to cancel school. Nothing like a snow day in South Dakota...

Enough off topic talk. Back to the photos of horrors in the snow!

california stops when it rains! we're spoiled with nice weather year round.
I hate it when I have to wear long pants to work!

  28. Used to love when the snow dropped down below the 3,000 ft. elev., The Big Tajunga basin never looked better. Hope the folks in La Canada/Flintridge still have stable hillsides
after those nasty fires this summer.
