Those of us on the East Coast have got a snow coming, time to get the wood in for the shop stove and get everything lined up for a day in the shop. Use your brain shoveling the snow, we ain't as young as we once were, be careful guys!
Calling for 18-24" here with high winds. Can't wait. I live out in the woods, on the back side of a lake. Leaves rustle and I lose power.
Yes....You guys be careful shoveling all that snow ..... we don't want to lose any more of our HAMB buddies. Stay safe !!
Shovel???? I live in Michigan and those of us who value our backs, and getting to work at a respectable time use a snowblower.
Snowblower! Why when I was a kid my old man made us scoop it up in an old soup can, dump it in a cardboard box to haul away, uphill, 1/2 mile to dump it!
Makes me glad I live in the desert although we're high enough we get some snow. I used my snow shovel 4 or 5 years ago!
School is cancelled, let see if the get this correct 12 -20 inches of drifting snow. Plowin on the front end loader is always fun, big kids toy. Its all good!!
Sounds like it might be more rain than snow on my side of town. I'm hoping that's the case as I've never had to shovel rain!
Here in Connecticut The Governor has decreed that all non-essential, non-emergency personnel shall refrain from driving personal vehicles on limited access highways, effective at 0500 (that's 5 am) Tuesday until further notice. So, the roads are more or less closed tomorrow morning at 5:00 am. I pre-planned and have a couple of changes of clothes and roughly three days of food with me at work, plus my sleeping bag. I told them, I would be able to get home, but most likely would not get back in Tuesday. Pity they threw out the old bed that was in the former medical clinic. That gave some semblance of comfort.
The weather guessers around here spent all weekend warning about a 2 to 5 inch snowfall and we barely got an inch.
I left Unionville, PA Friday afternoon with this beautiful 1935 Ford Woody Wagon ... Went thru light snow in North & South Carolina. Raining right now in Jacksoville, FL. Jim
I feel for you guys back east we had snow on the ground here from Dec 8 until the end of February . I shoveled that 400 ft all too many times this past winter.
I had my snow blower rebuilt last summer and it hasn't been started since I brought it home. Sorta wish I could use it at least once this winter to see how much better it runs. It's an older ALL STEEL one with NO plastic on it. Should outlast me and the kids can fight over it when I'm gone.
Another check-in from CT. Have ether and gas for the generator and lots of food. Looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow and having coffee in bed...until I have to go out and clear my driveway...and then the lot in my building...and all 6 trucks. That's gonna suck... Chris
We got nowhere near as much as they said we would here.....hopefully it plays out the same for you guys....
