Hey Denns, can you tell me about the nerf bar that protects those little lights? Great to see that your enjoying that sweet little A!

  9. No Problem currently changing the oil so I snapped a few shots :), it was made of scrap boiler pipe 1.5" Dia & chromed back in the early 60's, very basic just 90' ends, 1/2 " studs welded to the back of pipe with rubber shock bushings as spacers & thru 2 drilled holes in lower valence with nuts & washers from back side of valence..

  11. At a local show today & meet up with original builder Bob again (blue shirt) & then Eric shows up -
Eric was in the highschool shop class that built Snoopy's motor & was also selected as "ballast" when the backend was breaking loose on the dyno back in 1962 !
    Obviously I had to get a picture :) 20160618_142252.jpg

Man, You must be very proud!
I've heard a lot of car stories in my time,
but yours keeps topping the list!
    You have done everything right,
and it just keeps comming back to you!
Again, congratulations for a job well done!

  17. The story and history of this car and how it intertwines your family are awesome. I'm glad someone brought up the original threads. I don't believe in all this holistic universe mumbo jumbo, but my wife does. She would say that car was waiting for you.

A fantastic story Jeremy! Glad to have it on our page :)

Your story should become a ToDo List for everyone that finds an old survivor hidden away in a barn or garage!

  19. Congrats Jeremy
I commend your commitment to the traditional hot rod
Can't wait to see where you will turn up next

  27. I drive it as much as possible, any excuse I can find, this was a year that "life" happened but I still probably managed about 1000 miles along with 2500 last year - in fact the weather was still decent this week, but moving into a house right now & the sea can (with our stuff) in the driveway is blocking the garage door, can't easily get the car out Damn !! Of course the weather gets nice when the garage door is blocked !

Jer, your story about Snoopy was a big influence in me going ahead and buying a 1929 AV8 Tudor that was built in 1958. I bought it from the original builder just a couple months ago. I have been following the car for about 14 years. Now it is mine. It is listed under "MY LATEST ACQUISITION- '29 AV8 TUDOR".
I have really enjoyed your adventure! Keep up the good work.
