Snap on truck hijacked , driver murdered

20+ years ago we had many roads closed due to running water in road crossings oveer our normally dry washes. A local Snap on guy was in a major traffic jam on the Central ave bridge in Phoenix...

A man climbed on the truck and said ' this is a robbery'. The Snap on guy pointed his pistol at the asshole and said ' not today" the guy took off running

I too was sick when I heard about the poor snap on guy. They called his wife demanding his pin number and police believed that was AFTER they had already killed him. Sounds like the poor guy was really nice and maybe he stopped to help them out or something??

I feel for the family. I lost my younger sister in 2000 to murder. It changes the families lives forever. It changes their attitudes, the stuff they watch on tv, the way they look at their kids. It is a long hard road and I feel pity on his family. God Bless them.

I dont agree about the gun thing. Yes I think it should be your right to own and carry a firearm, but, no one will ever know if one would have saved him.......he would have at least had a fight chance.

 

It's sad indeed for someone to lose their life over something like this. I'm with most on here who would like to have about 15 minutes alone with the scum that did this. My condolences to his family.

My post was meant towards the anti gun laws. As far as concealment, look at Texas. They have a conceal law and their crime rate is super low compared to us here in Cali. Nobody knows who's carrying so it deters a lot from taking the chance. And yes I have been in my share of dirt, just don't need to air it out. Not quite so. According to statistics for 2001 (the most recent I quickly found), Texas ranked 7th on the National Crime Index, whereas California was 29th. For violent crimes, they were 12th and 8th, respectively. For property crimes, they were 7th and 33rd, respectively. The statistics don't support your statement that TX has a crime rates much lower than CA. In fact, they tend to show the opposite. They also don't show that ability to carry concealed weapons is a deterrent to crime when looking at these two states.

I am curious about this survey that they show these things on. I find it very hard to believe that New York or California is ranked lower than OK in violent crime. Nothing much happens here and things are really laid back.
Plus I doubt they would make a show called "OKPD blue".

Arizona allows anyone to carry as long as it is visable.
Conceal carry with a permit, permit is easy to obtain.

I carry concealed on a regular basis.
