Smooth or Shaved Tire Sidewall

    I have seen this done on some cars, where the sidewall is smooth and slick. I have heard that it is a lot of work. Can any of you tell me how to do it or send me a link with directions. Thanks in advance for the help

    There's a guy here in indy that has a tire shaving machine. He ususally shaves them deep to create a wider whitewall. He did a set of tire for my Buick. By watching the process, I believe he could do what youre looking for.

    Its "Poor Manns Tires", located at Emerson Ave. and 30th street. It would be worth a shot.

    Stick some 120 grit paper on a DA and simply sand it smooth. It's similar to the process I use for grinding my whitewalls. Make sure your tire is all black(no WW or raised white letter).
