You can't beat the radio, and even if you can beat the radio, you won't beat the RADAR!
Bunch a hooligans
I dunno, I'd think by the time he got all that packed back in the car and began pursuit you could be long gone!
I bet that officer died of radiation posioning
I'd bet that old set would sure keep your coffee warm.
Sad as it may be, the Maryland State Police have upgraded their equipment since the photo was taken.
Like down under, saving lives and raising revenue. They now even have point to point on the highways as well as mobile roadside vans that just up where you lest expect them. No old static setups or speed guns.
I remember that one and "There's never been a motor faster than Motorola". Now "OnStar" can just shut the electronics off remotely if the right organization tells them to.
Whatever. All Kowalski needed to evade the Fuzz was Super Soul.
It didn't work in California. We don't have enough soul.
If you wrap your car in aluminum foil, it won't show up on radar. Try it and PLEASE, post pics.
This has a special meaning to me because in the 60s my brother and friends ,went to town in a 57 Chevy. They were racing someone ,when the cops started chasing them they ran. Well the call went out and a chp tboned my brother and friends .Sent them into a walnut tree and fence. That car looked like a vw, damn near killed them all. My brother said" I thought I had you beat. Cop replied "can't beat a radio" True story > Jack
hope that cops 49 Plymouth is faster than mine was to catch hot rodders

Well, clearly he ain't chasin' 'em.
Ya, but if you pass them deep enough into the 130s or so, they don't bother to chase you out here in the desert... Ya gotta trust me on that one.
HMMMPH! Looks like a poser to me.
That's photoshopped for sure! Check the lap top on the left hand fender!
Those were a pain in the butt. The "Graph" had an arm that moved and was fed from an inkwell that one had to fill manually by pouring the ink into a small opening. Many a seat cover ruined by spilled ink.
Hard-on for donuts
Thanks for the MEMORIES, I operated one of those same units for 2 years. The worst part was having to run out over 1000 feet of cable to the tripod that mounted the radar box. Then back to the vehicle only to have some smart ass kids unplug the cable from the radar box !!!!!!!!!!! The COPS to-day have it made.
No, Fred, that doesn't work. You have to put aluminum foil balls inside your hub caps.
I'll just keep wearing my aluminum foil hat, thank you...
hence the expression; FOILED AGAIN.
well you know he won't be reading the squirell cage speed on the a/c unit with that like they did on some of the cars a few years back
and I wonder how safe it was with the high voltage when it was damp or raining out ???
Look at the size of those cables. That mess drew some juice!
I wonder how often they ran the battery down with that vacuum tube equipment?
And in a related story...
