Offenhauser still make a finned slant six cover or they did a few years ago cos I bought one and never used it. I found a Speco Australian made one which I had looked for for about 10 years so I used that one. PM Dmarv on here of Exeter Auto Supply as he sells Offie stuff and has lots of good stuff in stock. swifty
too right! look at pics of Tex Smiths XR6 to see what a fully dressed SL6 looks like with the Offy cover.
Mopar Performance and Direct Connection both had valve covers for the slant six. Unfortunately, Chrysler started discontinuing most of that stuff when the germans took over. Check Mopar swap meets, especially the Mopar Nationals. A lot of hard to find stuff can be found there. And of course there's always Ebay...
I still have a chrome one laying around here I got out of a buddys car before he sold the motor & trashed the Body. came off a 225. I have no use for it.
Our outfit in nam had an aircraft towing tug with a slant in it and under the red paint was a chrome valve cover. Go figure.
The early factory stamped covers had ribs on them, I always thought they looked cool. Have it chromed, or paint to look nice.
