Two manufactures made a "half a V-8" four -- Pontiac (the only one that made a 4V version) and International. I don't recall seeing an IHC "slant four", the Pontiac version was made from half a 389. I'm sure that's a Poncho in the photo.

Does anyone know who is in the D/A in the far lane. The B/A in the near lane belonged to Tom Burger and Terry Kroeger from Canal Fulton, Ohio The year was 1967

Anyone know of a guy by the name of John Spicer from Califonia? He used to run a 6 cyl. Anglian in the 60's or early 70's.
He has built one here and have been told it is quick.

    What!

Inline 6 Dragsters... They do exist!

  26. The 250 & 230 inline 6 Chevy's (Opala) are very popular in Brazilian drag racing like in pic # 512. I've even seen turbocharged versions mounted in R.E.D. from down there that run in the 8's (and maybe high 7's?).

Just recieved Steve Benoit's Pontiac Four engine (from his dragster that won the Gators in 1994) He said it pulled 335 HP from 181 cubes. Had four S&S carbs. Just missed getting the carbs,he sold them to bike guys.

I know it doesn't belong here and I don't want to ruffle feathers. BUT, what are your plans? Can you start another thread if you're building something with it? Saw a black T at NSRA Nat'ls at York many years ago, and it spiked my interest.

  30. Hey Six Gun, that's a bitchen' slant 6 dragster! Thanks or sharing. :D

Any idea how fast it used to run?
