It looks like a Railway Express truck. I see that some others beat me to the punch. There used to be a Railway Express yard in Hartford, Connecticut.

The '50 Merc that Randombob posted above has completely shaved tail lights and then those giant round ones added on, I would love to know what caused that customization to happen to that car. Looks like it's got a shaved trunk too, so I doubt it was just a "whatever makes it work" swap.

 

For the older crowd, Ironside had one similar, but a little older.

 

Wow, the Simca wagon (Chatelaine) is already a rare sight in France so seing one in Cali.

 

That car pre dated me in my family. I never knew if that was a project, or if my grandpa kept it around to sell down the road. I always wondered why it had the marker lights.

That was a family car from my wifes side. Unfortunately couldnt be saved in time due to miscommunication, along with that light truck I was working on.
