These bits are in the same suburban Melbourne park as the XK Falcon. The first two pics are a Renault 750 but the last two pics I don't know; below that headlamp bucket you can see the shape/outline of the end of the grille. A local who has lived here a long time said that there used to be a lot more car wrecks there but I wonder why these bits and the Falcon bits etc were left there.

 

Now i see it thanks to the lower corner of the grille. The big gashes caused by the council bulldozer did,nt make it any easier . Anyhow these are the remains of a boring old British 1954 Morris Oxford , great paddock car with all your mates pilled in for a bash through the bush . Tree dodging can be fun when your to young to know better .

Well done, 34 GAZ. I would have had to look through hundreds of pics of cars and I still might not have got it.

At least two GM Holdens and one Ford Zephyr in open parkland, suburban Melbourne. I guess it was easier to half-bulldoze them into the ground than to remove them, but I don't mind.

 

34 GAZ identified one mystery car part (see image posted previously) as the front mudguard of a 1954 Morris Oxford ... which leads directly to the identification of another mystery car part (again, see image posted previously): it's two parts from the same car, a Morris Oxford; the two parts are about 100 metres from each other in the park ...............

 

@roadsterlines , thats what i was implying with the double quote of your pics and including front and rear shot of the green car in my post from Sunday . Where is this parkland ? Was probably a old rubbish tip , most tips end up as filling for a golf course .

 

34 GAZ: now I see what you meant (call me slow ... ) The park is in Watsonia. In the 1960s it was probably just unfenced bush land. I have been told that there were a lot more old cars there but most were removed years ago. It was probably a place for bush-bashing, with some cars left where they stopped and other cars would have been dumped there. I still find small bits and pieces, like an 'Altissimo' brand tail light fitting which must be from a Fiat or some other Italian car.

 

My father and i built quite a few display home in Bundoora and Doncaster in the 1970s. Surprisingly still plenty of scrubland up that way. As you probably know even a town called Plenty . Won,t earbash to much on this thread so heres two pics to stay OnTopic. A FJ in the Aussie desert and a FJ in the German bush ( how, no idea except the land owner is eccentric and has a Jag and Porsche rotting there as well )

 

Love those old Dodge/Plymouth/Fargo trucks like the one Maverick Daddy posted. Several year models had the headlights right up on the crown of the fender and the little cowl lights. We called the ones with the headlights on the crown of the fender "frog eyes. Some year models had the headlights closer in to the grille like the one pictured. Either way they're among my favorite old trucks.

I can almost guarantee someone there will help. Those guys are really passionate about their cars and are glad to help someone keep a Buick on the road.

There are still a few rebuilders left also if he has the old one.

 

This looks like a felleow's place up the road. He has an old T frame with an engine and cowl still attached and tries to get you to bet will it start......don't think he's lost a bet yet.....

 

^30-31 Plymouth sedan converted to pickup. Doesn't look to be sitting and rotting though.

 

Wheels painted and tires in good shape.

 

Looks like a driver to me.
