1940 Willys.

 

A French Vedette. It is about 3/4 scale 1949-50 Mercury.

 

It appears to be a chopped 1951 ford.

I found these yesterday while out with the car club so took a ride on the motorcycle today to check them out.

 

(Desoto top has a hemi under it, with a complete dash)

 

Saw this today out in the west desert..

 

Back up the farm on the weekend and remembered these cabs from when I was a kid. Been there since just after WW2 rotting in the bush. Dad made hay trailers from the chassis's of both of them which are rotting in another spot now.
One looks Chev but got no idea on the other. The hinged metal bucket seats may be a clue.
Any help on id for both would be appreciated. Paul.

Forgot the dash which has typical British Smiths 3 in 1 round gauge pod on the left. Sporty British cars of that era had a Smiths 4 in 1 round pod.
