Here my old 1948 Dodge Pilothouse. Sat in the same field for 60 years. Last time on the road was 1958. Bought it from the granddaughter of the man who owned it. She was in her 70s and she remembers playing on the truck when her grandfather parked it and left it. She told me he got a new truck and left this just sitting. Snagged it for $500. [IMG]

Basically. It only had 24,000 miles on it. Was her grandfathers farm truck. There was about 12+ vehicles on that property. Got the original title plus the new one in her name. And all the paperwork. Good score. She ended up clearing the property and gave the land to the city to build a school.

20190630_110734.jpg 20190630_110755.jpg Saw these 2 yesterday at 2 different pick a part yards so they're time is just about up. If you see anything you need better act quick, these places love to crush cars....

The 62 Olds is a factory A/C car and it looked to be all intact.

This Caddy was rough, bit still pretty cool! Looks like it maybe started life as a hearse then turned into a camper. At least that's my thought because of the chrome trim on the hood. 20190630_121109.jpg 20190630_121540.jpg 20190630_121554.jpg 20190630_121710.jpg

Are those red lights in the grill? Was it an emergency vehicle? Seems like it would be white, not black. Local dirt track had a mid 60's Pontiac Ambulance that came from the Army.

Man, those stick Caddy pieces and those hearse-only hood moldings are both very much treasures. Quite a few other pieces on there would be great for resale as well.

So exactly what transmission parts are the sought after pieces?

The flywheel, bellhousing, transmission, steering column, pedal assembly and all related linkage would definitely be worth getting, trans yoke off of the driveshaft would be a plus. Think of offering it as a kit to a Cadillac guy to convert an automatic car to a stick, whatever would be necessary are the things to get. Not sure if the starter is different on a stick car but sometimes it is and if so that'd be another bit to get. I would think that conversion kit of parts would sell in the couple grand range if you had everything.
