  1. Found these yesterday. 54 Ford 2 door sedan for sure and possibly a Merc. A few cars totally destroyed laying here and there but couldn't tell what they were originally....

I feel your pain. I've been trying for 5 years to get a 55 stude president out of the foothills and snow. The trunk still holds water and is 100% complete. Its just disgusting disheartening and all around shameful. I hate people.

I think the old man (bosses father who started the business) pulled that trunk lid for his little Dodge/Ford roadster he is building. He decided that he needed to build a 'rat-rod' because "I've built lots of nice cars, I want to build a cheap car".

there are TWO original 57 Chevy, shortbed, stepside trucks in my area that have been sitting out in the elements for at least a decade. i talked to both owners and offered $800 for one that was sunk into the mud up to it's floorboards. neither will sell. the one that's in the mud ran before he parked it. the other that's on concrete runs and he starts it every now and then. he doesn't understand that it's rusting from the inside out. the entire body is almost devoid of paint and now has a rust patina. it's very frustrating....

If it's OK to post a picture of a 'Cuda, I can't resist posting this one. About 5 years ago, a friend's daughter who was in college in N.C. sends him these pics of this '71 'Cuda behind a closed auto repair/car lot. She's into cars, and says the rumor has it that it's a Hemi. We drive about 400 miles to see it, and manage to track down the property owner's ex-wife. She says just leave well enough alone and don't ask questions-a title or vin problem-he won't talk to anyone. He took the car in trade when it was nearly new and got screwed. She said it's a 440/4spd., and that she drove it for a while until the discrepancies arose.

If you can, snag the latches from the side ramp. They are the same as for a 55 - 58 Cameo tailgate.

This 56 Chev was sitting rotting untill it followed me home. Came with original steel rims on the car with tires that wouldnt air up. Plus the spare tire still in place. (Z-28 rims for rolling purposes) Original 265/Powerglide. (which actually runs!) It's going to donate some parts for my 57 150 Handyman.
