Actually, I haven't owned an antique since about 1999, the year I sold my 54 Chrysler station wagon. I'm currently working on a degree in overstuffed anatomy.:D

  5. Wow, great discovery. Just proves they're still out there. And if found before the big $$$ folks find 'em maybe the hobbyists will have a chance to still own a classic.

    Lots of stuff hiding.

There is a farmer up north by my folks cottage who has model T and A stuff filling his barn and around his property

Won’t sell or trade a rusty bolt of it.
Heard around town the kids will liquidate all of it once he passes.

Been following this story and driving past his property for around 15 years now, you can see some stuff hiding beside the barn and around the “ inside fence lines dividing his property, and piles of body parts and chassis stacked around, thinking if there’s this much outside then the “ good stuff” is in the barn.

Old fucker will probably outlive his kids and the rest of us!

There was an old farm by my parents house growing up with about 20 cars lined up in a field. Farmer passed away, no next of kin or will farm went to the city and it all got crushed
Me and my friends went to watch as the ‘dozer flattened all 20 cars !!!
Fun to watch but even at that young age knew it was a waste of some cool cars .

  15. GOOGLE A Whippet....closer than any 20s Chrysler

  16. Just to inform....I used to own a 1926 Chrysler Model 58, so I know a Chrysler radiator shell when I see one. The Whippet shell tapers toward the top....Google 1924-1928 Chrysler and have another look. Here is the Whippet.... 1927 Whippet.jpg

I hope so too, but I doubt it. At the time I took that pic, 6-7 years ago, it was not for sale at any price.

  20. It was very nice out today. So I met a friend for coffee and a little b.s.. On the way home I took all the back roads. Boy did it pay off. I saw this 59 Chevy wagon. There wasn't anyone home. Hey, it's not like you're going to whittle a Corvette out of a block of wood or a Coke can ( and yes - I know Corvettes are fiberglass). Point is, ownership is 9/10ths of the law...

    And

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I'd rather own the real deal with the intent of "fixing them up one day" and never getting around to it as opposed to never having it in the first place. Having the hope of fixing it up is more important to me than anything else. That's why we all save our junk & not sell it off - it's the idea of hope that makes life worthwhile.

And for some, doing things makes life worthwhile.
Do it or at least try before there's no more time.
