A few shots of the dash, some really cool gauges and controls. Must have been slick when it was all together. IMG_1775.JPG IMG_1785.JPG IMG_1786.JPG IMG_1787.JPG IMG_1788.JPG

    Wow, 31 Buick
Was not aware they made trucks back then. That is pretty cool, they had some pretty trick looking stuff on the dashboard

Leroy 701: I don't believe it was a truck. I think it was a coupe or sedan with its body cut off. A lot of oldies ended up as "Grapes of Wrath" dust bowl trucks.

  10. The other day,I took a little road trip in the Nomad to meet some friends for lunch. On the way home I spotted this. So I turned around and went back. I sure hope it's not on it's way to the Crusher! It was at and old 50s style Motel Ron... 009.jpg 010.jpg 008.jpg

  11. Your '56 Nomad makes quite a contrast with the earlier wagon, Ron.

So, did Ford think you Canadian's were stupid or something??? I feel like there must have been a conversation somewhere that was like " Oh those stupid Cannucks, fuck em, take the cheapest Ford, throw a Mercury grille and lettering on it, and let them have it. They're dumb, they'll never know the difference!"

Looks like the vinyl inside was more durable than the metal outside - at least under water.

  28. The REO dump truck looks pretty solid and was probably driven to where it's sitting, who knows, it might fire up with fresh gas and a hot battery. The '40 Chevy is rough but far from the worst I've seen. Probably needs floor pans. Most cars of the '30s and '40s were prone to rust out in the floor pan and trunk floor.
