What is this car? That is amazing!
Car in Post # 8316 is a 1958 Oldsmobile!
How are you going to make a hot rod out of that?...
Haha...no kidding. I have seen some crazy stuff though, so who knows....
Tuff Tin, I see, takes a little more effort and thought. Huh, no wonder.
That 58 Olds is a real cool yacht. I mowed a guy's lawn all summer for one in '74.
Look up "National Lampoon, Bulge mobiles" Its right there.
Found a hoard this weekend, I'll post up pics as I can
That first pic is of a '28 Dodge Victory Six- if you wind up with it, I am in need of an interior... mine was "lost at the shop"...
that 57 Dodge shore had some surgery on the wheel openings
I remember seeing that '58 Olds driving around. I'm sure it is a J-2.
Just saw this on eBay...... What a shame, looks like it was a real looker in it's day.
that's so sad

I'm surprised the 55 was not crushed/scrapped completely?
Oroville, Washington.... two 58 wagons one 58 pacer and one 59 wagon
hell...RmK57.....the tires are still up......wtfind? rare wagons there....
This 29 Chev 2dr sat here for years (early 60s till mid 80s). It was involved in a murder and sat here there after. I took the pic in 76 and have the front # plate in my collection. JW
sedan of some kind. and an old Chevy.
Found some tin yesterday
And a few more
I remember scouting around for cars about 22 years ago... just driving around and dreaming, really. I don't think I ever saw much in the way of '30's-'40's, though there were a few. The ones I asked about were also someone's planned project. Hard to say if they ever got them going or not.
It takes a LOT to get a car back on the road after it's been sitting. I know I never got mine (the one I did pick up to work on) going even after years of effort, and that dream eventually ended when a tree fell on it. So, I abandoned it to the guy who was storing it...
...and I can just see somebody today looking at it, thinking, "Man.... look at that..."
It's a rabbit hole.
There's an old junk yard near where I live that apparently has changed owners and is in the process of getting cleaned up. There was a LOT of old stuff in there, but the problem was, as someone who had been in there put it, that car on the ground is actually resting on top of two others that have rotted into the soil. There were two Edsels, a wagon and a four door, sitting between the fence and the road that had been there as long as I can remember. They were there in the early 60's. I was able to look one time a year ago; both frames were shot, the wagon was sort of folding in half. I'll try to scoot down there and get some pictures before everything is gone. Most that I could see had that green mold on them.
I guess Batlow is in Australia? I never knew that Australian trucks had different roofs without the visors. That Chevy Ute would be killer to have!
Yeah they did them a bit different over here, I actually owned a truck very similar to the one at the top, when I was 16, around the same time I discovered this one. Speaking of 16, thats how many years it was before i was able to take possession of it. I have read that they only produced ten of these, so i guess this one is kind of rare which is a bummer when you are looking for spares.
Here are a couple more, a 37 Chev Utility, these were dirt common over here, at least 700 were produced that year. Not sure about numbers for the 35 Ford but I think they were pretty common too.
Lotsa utes over your way chev34ute..... been ages since I have been tin hunting, good to see all this neat junk.
is that a Lada 2101 (1300) with tire on its trunk right behind this ute?
Can anyone indentify this car?
Is it a dodge cant see it kinda blurry

It could very well be .
I first found this binder in Alaska 25 years ago, and found it again today. Hasn't changed in 25 years. Wish I had a way to drag it home.
