    I would grab that hemi as quick as I could then :D

    I entertained the thought of a hemi when I was building my dragster but I soon realized I could either spend money on a complete engine thats been sitting outside in the dirt under a tarp for 30 years or buy a 1000HP capable SBC rotating assembly. I chose the rotating assembly.

    Here's the grill, which now looks like a 51 with the little vertical bars there:

    Once the snow is gone I'm going for it, if only for yard art at least it's not in the scrap.

    That Chev is definitely a 51!
     
  3. yeah id go for it. I mean id get it just for the valve covers, I always loved those. id pull that 51 as well. those make some awesome kustoms

    Spotted them north of Sturgeon Bay while on our holiday , someone else can reap the wealth that lives closer I am from Manitoba might be hard to make it work .

    I posted a thread about these but it got pulled for being O/T:confused:. At least a couple of these cars look '50s or '60s for sure, especially the two white ones on the left - smaller one could be a Rambler or Falcon wagon; the larger one may be a late '50s Ford or early '60s GM convertible:

    They're in the Mojave Desert at 35.134258 N 115.209585 W, about 1/2 mile from the nearest road.

  25. Merc-O.....thinks your right.....I was thinking 59-60-61 Pont.....still looks like a convert trim across the back -what you say?....rare for a Merc as well...
